STRIVING FOR EXCELLENCE
YOUTH PROGRAM

The Valley Community Association's “Striving For Excellence” Youth Program is a comprehensive youth program that offers activities, programs, and services for children in grades K-12. Activities include:
  • Homework help
  • Computer instruction
  • Physical education
  • Art classes
  • Nature Ed-Ventures Science Program
  • Meal program
  • Field trips
  • Community service projects
  • Family events
  • Social clubs
  • Dance classes
  • Mentoring
  • Counseling
  • Prevention trainings and workshops
  • Summer programming
  • Recreation and athletic leagues are also offered 
7th & 8th grade students and their parents in learning about potential scholarships for private high schools or assistance with the selection of, and entrance into, public high schools.
 
11th & 12th grade students and their parents can receive counseling on higher education options, including college and vocational schools and assistance completing applications.
