The VCA holds various special events throughout the year to help promote community cohesion, neighborhood heritage and ethnic pride. Some of these great events include:

 

 

Held annually in March, usually the Saturday before the downtown Buffalo St. Patrick's Day Parade.  The “Old Neighborhood” St. Patrick’s Day Parade retraces the original 1913 parade route through the historic streets of the Valley and Old First Ward neighborhoods.

 

Held annually in June.  The Buffalo River Fest aims to showcase and draw attention to the history and on-going revitalization of the Buffalo River Front.  The Buffalo River Fest is a two day family festival that includes live music, a river regatta, classic car show, kids area and much more. The event also highlights the revitalization efforts being made along the Buffalo River Front and the recreational opportunities that exist.
